Some information on my research activities

From September 2022 to June 2023, I was on leave at New-York University - Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, as a Visitng Professor.

Since June 1st, I am the head of the research group Analysis and Number Theory of the Institut Elie Cartan de Lorraine (IECL) - UMR 7502 - CNRS.
This research group is composed of about 50 people, including 12 PhD students. It is one of the four groups of the IECL.

I was appointed to the CNRS as a full time Senior Researcher from September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020.

Since September 2008, I'm professor at the Université de Lorraine in Metz, Before that I was assistant professor at the Université Paris Ouest,
and
member of two research groups: Théorie des groupes, Représentations et applications of the Institut de mathématiques de Jussieu (UMR 7586 - CNRS)
and Modal'X at the
Université Paris Ouest (EA 3454 - CNRS).

I defended my "habilitation à diriger des recherches" entitled "Harmonic analysis on Lie groups" on December 2004, and my PhD thesis, entitled
"Quantization and semiclassical limit for nilpotent orbits of SOo(2p,2)", on December 1996 both at the Université Denis Diderot - Paris VII.

I spent several years abroad: one year at New-York University - Abu Dhabi, UAE, two years at the Oklahoma State University, USA;
one year in Germany at the
Mathematisches Institut of Göttingen and one semester in India at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai.
I was appointed to the CNRS, as a full time senior researcher, in 2019 - 2020 & 2012. I travel as much as I can to discuss, learn and exchange Mathematics!

I was the head of the research group Analysis and Number Theory between January 2013 and September 2014. Recently, between June 2014 and June 2018,
I chaired the mathematics department on the campus of Metz of the Université de Lorraine.

Between January 2011 and December 2015, I was the french responsible of the program Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC - Cogito) with Professor Pavle Pandzic
at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Since 2011, I am the leader for the campus of Metz of the research group GDR "Algebraic and Geometric Lie Theory".

My research interests are within the fabulous world of Lie theory, especially (non-commutative) harmonic analysis on Lie groups and their homogeneous spaces,
Representation theory and its applications. They may be summarized by the following key phrases:

       Harmonic analysis on homogeneous spaces,
       Representations of reductive Lie groups,
Cubic Dirac operators on reductive homogeneous spaces,
      Dirac cohomology and cohomological induction,
      Associated varieties and algebraic cycles,
Quantization and approximation of nilpotent orbits,
Spectrum and invariants of locally symmetric spaces,
      L2-cohomology of locally symmetric spaces,
Heat kernel for homogeneous bundles over locally symmetric spaces,

Invariant differential operators on homogeneous spaces.
